CARR Member Benefits
Welcome to CARR. We are so glad that you are here.
As a member of CARR, you will have access
to a network of over 100 other regional counselors
to collaborate with, learn from, and beg for college fair confirmations when you simply can’t find yours.
A note from our Membership Chair…
Since its inception, CARR has grown from 8 institutions to over 100.
As we’ve grown, we’ve developed ways to support one another through social activities,
group visits, and professional development.
We truly hope your CARR experience will be beneficial as you embark on this year’s recruitment season.
We are all so excited you have joined CARR!
A few details about your membership benefits:
1. The best way to communicate with the CARR group is through our listserv. To contact the CARR group, simply email carrlistserv@googlegroups.com . You have been added to the CARR Listserv and will be able to send and receive information!
A few points about the Listserv:
You will receive emails regarding events from high school partners, updates from our exec team, and important notes that other CARR members want to share!
If you want to share information with all of CARR, you can email carrlistserv@googlegroups.com or email our Communication Chair, Sarah Twaddle. Information that is shared in this email is time-sensitive or important for the group as a whole.
Proper etiquette is to keep "Reply All" to a minimum. If you're seeking feedback, please gather all responses and send one email to the full Listserv summarizing them.
2. Our group has two membership meetings per year, fall and spring. This is a great time for all of us to get together in between or busy travel seasons! Watch the listserv and CARR Calendar for dates and registration details.
3. Why stand alone at a lunch visit? Sign up for CARR Lunch Visits in the Fall and Spring and spend lunch visits meeting students alongside your CARR colleagues. Watch the listserv and CARR Calendar for dates and registration details.
4. During the fall and spring, we host multiple opportunities to be involved and get your institution recognized, including: Case Study Events, Professional Development Opportunities, Socials, Counselor Luncheon Updates, and much more. Questions about these events? Reach out to myself or anyone on the CARR Exec Team!
I hope this provides you with a glimpse of what joining CARR means (and gets you excited about being a member)! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with your questions.
