Request a CARR Case Study Workshop

Want to demystify the application review process for your students?
Want to help families understand how some colleges review applications?
Want to help students understand what some colleges think about when making admission decisions?

A Case Study Workshop is a great way to give students and families the opportunity to discuss the application review process with admission counselors. Members of CARR have collaborated to create a fictional university where three mock students have applied. CARR members from a variety of schools will assist your students in reviewing the applications and determining who to admit, place on a waitlist, and deny. We will also talk through common questions, typical mistakes, and discuss potential outcomes.

If you are interested in hosting a Case Study at your school or within your district, please fill out the form below.
Our Case Study Committee will review your request.
As much as we would like to accommodate individual high schools, we strongly encourage schools to collaborate with your district or within your local area. Our Case Study Committee will consider this while they review these requests.

Priority consideration for the upcoming school year will be given to requests submitted before October 15, 2025. Requests that are submitted after this date will be reviewed by the Case Study Committee on a case-by-case basis.

If you have any specific questions regarding Case Studies, you can contact the
Case Study Committee Chair, Scott Carlson at scarlson12@elon.edu.
